A late 19th century stone building stood quietly in the heart of old Ramallah — weathered, uninhabited, and facing an uncertain future.
Once the walls were standing again, we asked what they should hold. The answer was everything that time had almost taken with it.

The Living Lineage
Every piece begins in our shop, conceptualized as a modern dialogue with history.
Patterns draw from generations of embroidery traditions, regional motifs, and everyday sources of inspiration found throughout Palestine. Colors are chosen with intention, expanding beyond traditional tatreez palettes to create new, contemporary interpretations.
Once a design is finalized by our founder in Ramallah, it is entrusted to an independent network of women artisans across Palestinian villages. For these women—primarily homemakers who act as the quiet guardians of this heritage—this collaboration offers a self-sustaining path of financial independence and creative agency. Their homes become extension studios, where our designs come to life through hands that have mastered and preserved tatreez over lifetimes.
Because this is a living, human process, no two pieces are exactly alike. Some are completed in days, others over the course of weeks. Each carries its own rhythm, shaped by the individual artist, her home, and the traditions behind it.
Like Irth itself, every piece becomes part of a story meant to be carried forward—passed from the hands of the women who made it, to yours.
Carrying It Forward
What began inside a restored stone building in Ramallah continues to grow.
In 2026, we are excited to introduce a curated selection of Irth pieces to the United States, bringing our work to a new community of collectors, gift-givers, and admirers of craftsmanship.
While our story remains rooted in Palestine, we look forward to seeing these pieces find new homes and become part of stories yet to be written.
